Patient Care Coordinator Externship

ClassGraphic Gain work experience using your newly acquired Patient Care Coordinator skills in an unpaid externship. The externship is available for students who have successfully completed the course and meet the eligibility requirements. You will receive a minimum of 40 hours at the externship site. Contact the Health Careers Department for more information at wtc_healthcareers@nic.edu.

MMR x 2 doses, varicella x 2 doses, Tdap, Hepatitis B x 3 doses are recommended, but not required. Provide proof of current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) card. Registration fee includes the required criminal background check.

Prerequisite: Successful completion of the Patient Care Coordinator course

Please read:  Upon registration, please contact the Workforce Training Center Health Careers Department to send (wtc_healthcareers@nic.edu):
  • Proof of completion of the Patient Care Coordinator course
  • A copy of your current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) card
  • Proof of the following vaccinations are recommended but not required:
    • MMR x 2 doses,
    • varicella x 2 doses,
    • Tdap, and
    • Hepatitis B x 3 doses

Exact dates and times of the externship are to be determined based on both the student and externship site schedules.
