A Career Pathways program in Health Care. The Patient Care Coordinator (also known as Health Unit Coordinator or HUC) assists in facilitating patient care services. Help manage a patient’s healthcare and treatment needs by maintaining open lines of communication between a patient and their healthcare providers in hospitals, doctors’ and dentists’ offices, nursing care facilities, and specialty care centers. Learn strong organizational, computer technology, and interpersonal communication skills to help ensure patient needs are met. Take on administrative responsibilities in assisting with a patient’s case management. Course includes medical terminology and textbooks.

This course is primarily online with one introductory lab.
