Opioid Safety and How to Use Naloxone

Opioid reversal medication is a medication that can save lives by temporarily reversing an opioid overdose, such as heroin or fentanyl. Opioid reversal medication is safe to use and only works if a person has opioids in their body.  In this class you will learn what opioids are, what naloxone is, overdose prevention, laws in Idaho and how to recognize and respond to a potential opioid overdose using intranasal naloxone (commonly known as Narcan).
