| Gain fundamental skills in structural steel welding. Techniques taught will be oxygen and acetylene cutting and welding and safe practices for gas metal arc welding (GMAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW). There will be no certification/qualification for this class as GMAW-S is not in the structural welding code. Students provide their own personal protective clothing, including welding jacket or cotton overalls, gauntlet style welding gloves, and clear safety glasses. Textbooks provided for in-class use.
