Competent Persons Training: Part 46


A Part 46 MSHA Competent Person is someone designated by the production operator or independent contractor who has the ability, training, knowledge, or experience to provide instruction to miners in his or her area of expertise. This training will provide the knowledge and tools that are necessary for the Part 46 competent person(s) to conduct effective safety, health& task training to miners as well as learn and understand the MSHA documentation requirements.
