Off-Highway Vehicle Great Trails Workshop

This course teaches the basic principles necessary to effectively provide for and manage off-highway vehicle (OHV) recreation with the target audience being OHV managers, technicians, and volunteers. Instruction discusses key elements in each phase of the Great Trails Continuum: planning, location and design, implementation, maintenance, management with the focus on quality, variety, sustainability, the process of assessing a given scenario, and making an informed decision. Days two and three will be out in the field where students will apply the tools they’ve learned by observation and critiquing various local trail segments.
