Students will gain an understanding and overview of programmable logic controllers (PLC) in this hybrid class that combines online learning and in-person lab sessions with the instructor, step-by-step virtual demonstrations of LogixPro 500 PLC simulator programming software. You will learn how to apply knowledge and understanding of PLC processors, time/counter instructions, program control instructions, data manipulation, math functions, shift registers/sequencers, analog I/O, and networks. Idaho SkillStack® Badge certificate will be awarded upon completion of a technical skills assessment exam. This course is also approved for Idaho Electrical Journeyman CE of eight (8) hours.
