Mental Health Certification is a convenient instructor-led, online learning experience. Prepare to provide care for the unique needs of people with mental illness, dementia, and/or developmental disabilities under the direct supervision of a mental health professional. There are three scheduled in-person or online instructional meetings, with the majority of the course offering full online flexibility to work around your busy schedule. Students living in the Greater Coeur d'Alene area are encouraged to attend the three instructional meetings in person (Orientation, when you will also pick up your textbooks, and a two-session Adult Mental Health First Aid class).

Upon successful completion, students are eligible to take the level 1 American Association of Psychiatric Technicians (AAPT) exam.

All textbooks and student materials are included. Students must have access to a computer with high-speed internet.

Students are recommended but not required to be a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).

It is best to register at least one week before class begins.
