Begin your health care career as a Certified Nursing Assistant. This course prepares you to enter into the workforce and for the state exams required to be placed on the Idaho Nurse Aide Registry. The registry is transferrable to other states. This 152-hour class includes online assignments, in-class skills practice, and clinical experience at local health care facilities. Class registration covers all class materials and state testing fees. Students will have access to free TB testing and influenza vaccinations. Scrubs are an additional cost.

Please read:

100% attendance is required.
Immunizations: The requirement is a 2-step TB test within the past 12 months and a current Influenza vaccination if your educational experience is from October 1st thru April 1st. The TB skin tests and flu vaccine will be available for free in class by a mobile nurse. A COVID vaccination is required at some clinical sites per the CDC (Medical and Religious Exemptions accepted). Students will explore clinical site options with their instructor.
Requirements for CNA scrubs: CNA in Post Falls - dark gray scrub top and teal scrub bottoms - with closed-toe shoes (preferably white or black).
An analog watch with the ability to track seconds is required. No smart devices are allowed.
Many employers perform pre-employment screenings such as criminal history, drug screen, driving record, and credit checks. A preliminary criminal history check is conducted by the school and some offenses may disqualify you from class enrollment. It is the responsibility of the student to verify that they are employable in their preferred occupation.
