| This course is designed to introduce you to the basic skills of gas tungsten arc (TIG) welding. Learn the principle set-up of TIG (tungsten inert gas) welding equipment, proper tungsten selection and shielding gases for this welding process, and the correct welding parameters for the material to be welded. Learn how to weld in different positions for a variety of weld joints using steel and aluminum. Have your own TIG welder and want to learn on it? Bring it along! This course requires that you possess some personal protective equipment (PPE) and tools. You are welcome to bring your own or check out some or all of the items for use in class.
