Begin your health care career as a Certified Nursing Assistant. This course prepares you to enter the workforce and for the state exams required to be placed on the Idaho Nurse Aide Registry. This registry is transferrable to other states. The 152-hour class includes online assignments, in-class skills practice, and clinical experience at local health care facilities. Class registration covers all class materials and state testing fees. Additional costs include vaccinations and scrubs.

Please read: 
  • 100% attendance is required. 
  • Immunizations: The requirement is a 2-step TB test within the past 12 months and a current Influenza vaccination if your educational experience is from October 1st through April 1st.
  • Requirements for CNA scrubs: CNA in Sandpoint - Black top/bottom scrubs may be purchased at Walmart or an online vendor of your choice.
  • White or black closed-toed shoes.
  • An analog watch with the ability to track seconds is required. No smart devices are allowed.
  • Many employers perform pre-employment screenings such as criminal history, drug screen, driving record, and credit checks. A preliminary criminal history check is conducted by the school, and some offenses may disqualify you from class enrollment. It is the responsibility of the student to verify that they are employable in their preferred occupation.
