Class Information

Accelerate your journey to becoming a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) with this comprehensive 8.5-month program tailored for employed healthcare professionals like you. Apply the knowledge and skills you gain in class directly to your workplace, supervised by a clinical preceptor, while also preparing to sit for the CCMA exam

Dive into direct patient care and master essential clinical and administrative skills crucial for success in this high-demand field. As a Medical Assistant, you'll play a vital role in providing clinical services to patients and ensuring the smooth operation of healthcare facilities.

Prerequisites

You must be employed in a healthcare facility and have someone available to be a Clinical Preceptor who is either an RN, LPN, or experienced Medical Assistant. A list of employers is available upon request.

Regular access to a Windows-based laptop and high-speed internet to complete the course is required (Chromebooks and cell phones are NOT compatible with the online portion of this course).

Location

For those students 50 miles outside the Greater Coeur d'Alene area who wish to take this course online, please inform Customer Service you wish to take this course remotely.

This course may be taken online for those living outside the greater Coeur d'Alene area with prior approval. Please contact the Health Careers team at the Workforce Training Center to make arrangements - WTC_HealthCareers@nic.edu or 208-769-3497.
