Phlebotomy Technician Externship

Gain valuable on-the job training while preparing for the ASCP Certification. The phlebotomy externship is available to students who have successfully completed the Phlebotomy Technician program and meet the eligibility requirements. Once your eligibility application is accepted, you will be placed in an unpaid externship for 100 hours in a local lab. Upon successful completion, you will be able to sit for the ASCP certification exam and include the experience on your resume for employment. Fee includes background check, drug screen, and onboarding fee. Additional costs are the immunizations and health screening tests required at certain externship sites. Other requirements may include proof of health coverage and the purchase of professional liability insurance coverage.
